AfricaFoot report that Premier League outfit Newcastle United target the transfer of Victor Boniface for the upcoming summer. According to the French language media outlet, Newcastle already underwent negotiations for several weeks with Boniface’s agents and Bayer Leverkusen.

AfricaFoot also noted Leverkusen’s €50 million asking price will not be an issue for the club backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). Boniface was also very close to leaving Leverkusen for Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in January’s transfer window.

Last season’s sensation endured a difficult campaign at the BayArena. Since his return from injury in 2025, he has only found the back of the net twice in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen are preparing for a major squad overhaul as they will also bid farewell to Xabi Alonso.
