Werder Bremen’s head coach has revealed that fans have flooded his email inbox in recent weeks after he made his address public.
In the build-up to Bremen’s 2-2 draw with Union Berlin, Werner drew comparisons between their opponents from Köpenick and VfL Bochum.
Werner subsequently asked fans to give examples of teams playing well against Bochum, whom he found as difficult to face as Union Berlin.
“There was some really well-developed research, but there was also a lot of confusion on a wide variety of topics. There were no limits to creativity, let’s put it that way.
“I get some very sent to me now. Mainly after games that didn’t go so well. They reliably get in touch again when things go badly,” Werner grinned.
